Question Bluetooth iPhone Pairing/Voice Activation Problems

The voice recognition system doesn't hear me at all. When I press the Voice Recognition button and say "Setup" loud and clearly, it just repeats the words "Pardon?" twice, then cancels.

I've searched the net and forums, gone through the manual, but still no luck.

Hopefully it's something simple!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S: Just bought this dream car on the weekend, and I'm still smiling

Hey Welcome!

Never had that issue.. i use mine and i must say i never had an issue. I don't even remember the setup part anymore.

Short of taking it to a dealer to look it up i have no ideas. But a lot of people here on the forum might know of something.

I have the same problem and have had it in to the dealer for them to check it... Their official word was "Ya, it appears not to work" and then gave the car back with no solution... I have an email into Hyundai Canada about it and I will keep you posted...

Ha Ha, its the same dealership that has told me to park in the sun to dry out my taillights, and the same one that says 2nd and 5th gear grinds are never heard of but could most likely be due to the tight characteristic of our transmission...

I wont mention any names of the dealership, but I think they denied a warranty claim for you after already approving it...

Ohhhh, I didn't recognise your username for a moment there haha. Yeah, no names need to be spoken here. I think people will gradually learn, lol. Oddly enough, I had the same issue and when I took it to the, um, questionable dealership the first time, they ordered a new bluetooth unit for me. When I went in to try and book an appointment to install it about a month after, they said they no longer had the item... Hmm.

Yeah OP, take it back to the dealership. Because your car is so new, you shouldn't have any issues. And also, welcome to the forum!!

Best advice you're going to get. A lot of us here had issues with our rides and at how the dealerships try to resolve the problem(s). Best you can do for yourself in this situation is tell them you want a new car and if they refuse, claim buyers remorse and cancel the purchase.

Don't know if you got this problem fixed or not, but I had the same problem and found the fix.. at gc.com(sorry for posting the .com up guys but credit is due where it belongs)

Default Bluetooth Firmware Update Files

Thanks strykr, but unfortunately the download links are no longer up (MegaUpload was court ordered to shut down).

I did come across these files however, but I am not sure how recent they are. I will attempt the fix today and report back.
