Default Oil Drain Valves

So I seen this on the .com site. It was a very old thread but I have never seen it before. Anyway I was thinking of getting one of these and wanted to know if anyone else would be interested and see if we can get them a bit cheaper with a small grouop buy of sorts. Let me know if you're interested and I'll contact them and see what price they can get us. They're $29.95 and I think there's free shipping so maybe we can get them for $20 or so.

Make sure the clearance will work, I just looked at their website and it mentions that its not designed for low clearance cars.. such as yours:P

But I cant really see that sticking to far below that car

I've got a plastic skid plate under the entire engine. Not like the 2.0 that only has one that goes around oil pan. I would not be concerned at all about putting this in. The whole thing is only a little more than an inch long. Besides they mention that about the extended valve that you can attach a hose to and not the normal one.

Oh I forgot about the skid plate, makes me wonder if ours can adapt that skid plate.. Or maybe I could make one out of sheet metal..

I'm sure you can put some sort of plate under there. I'm not sure if ours would match up though.

I've got this valve on my coupe, zero issues, my mechanic loves it, no more searching for the plug if it falls down when he's removing it.

clearance isn't an issue either, doesn't go below the subframe so if you hit something it would hit that first.
Drove all winter with it, all summer last year, as long as you use an OE crush washer instead of the composite one that comes with it, I don't foresee ever having an issue with it.

^^ Yay someone that's tried chimed in, so the only problem is needing the OE crush washer? Lol

I may be getting one, since I'll be doing my own oil changes soon..
